We were using LTO, but decided to switch back to raw drives. When a
drive is full, we clone it. Someone spins up the drives every 6
months. Call me in 3 years and I'll let you know what we lost.
Literally raw drives- there are a number of 'drop in' boxes- like
black-x, weibetech, etc. Some people advocate the weibitech
antistatic plastic boxes. We use anti static bags that come with the
drives.
