Re: [FCP-L] Re: OT: LG projector phone

As I was reading this, the commercial for the projector phone just ran. The projector is separate from the phone and clips to the back of it. It looks about 3 times thicker than the phone.

Really tiny elves!

If you're not quite ready to upgrade your phone, you can get this:

http://www.wowwee. com/en/products/ tech/projection/ cinemin/swivel

It's a projector about the size of an iphone, and in a comletely dark room, will cast a remarkably large, bright image. It's useless in day light, but under proper viewing conditions, is quite acceptable. Oh, and cost only around $300 bucks.

[FCP-L] OT: LG projector phone

I thought it was a joke. Evidently I was wrong. I just saw an ad on tv for a
new phone that has a built in projector. I just can't imagine how something
that small can generate enough light, especially battery-powered.

Anyone know how they can accomplish this?

Re: [FCP-L] Re: OT: How did they do "digital effects" in the analouge era?

As I recall, there were two complimentary effects. One for the front of the
page and the second for the back. So you could do the effect in two passes
if all you had was a single channel.

P.S. We also got the disk with the page turn. There was also a cool
filmstrip effect.

During our training we could not get the disk until we were able to
do a page turn. If I recall it took at least two passes to complete it.
