This is really useful info, but to be nitpicky, let me clarify two things:
1. In the Sequence pulldown menu, the item we want is "Insert Tracks," not Add Tracks. Then you can specify how many tracks to add in one fell swoop. Nice feature. I wish it also came up with the Right-click "Add Tracks" feature.
2. Before people jump on you again, we call it the Option key here in the good ol' US of A. (As you know from previous debates.) ;)
I was confused at first about the instructions to "hold" the key. If you hold the key, then click & drag, nothing will happen. It's a two-step process: Option-click to select; then let go of the Option key and drag.
In retrospect, your instructions are correct (and maybe even obvious), but I misunderstood initially. In case there are other dummies like me on the list (a few, maybe?), I wanted to clarify the process.
