Agreed. But FCP 7 won't help you in your situation. It does allow you to capture and add CC to HD using the Kona 3 card. But that is done on output. For yo take advantage of that, you would need two systems, one to play out through the Kona with a caption file attached, and another to capture that stream through a Kona while maintaining CC data.
