If installed correctly, you will have "Perian.component" in /Library/
Quicktime folder, and "Perian" item (Swiss Army Knife Icon) in System
Preferences in "Other" (file in /Library/PreferencePanes/
Perian.prefpane.
.flv's simply play in a Quicktime player like any other movie.
Yes, .flv's do show up with generic icons. So what. Double-clicking
will still open QT Player.
Maybe a future release by the volunteer Perian group <http://
www.perian.org> willl address that issue. The Support area on the
site may provide some suggestions if you're still having problems.
