Re: [FCP-L] Add an effect layer to a sequence!

If all you need is a vignette, then you can simply make it in Photoshop and superimpose it. Either via an alpha or b/w, composited via "Darken". Or even just use a Gradient generator directly in FCP the same way.

Or, if you don't have a massive amount of V-tracks, set the filter up for one and apply it to the rest (e.g. as a favorite)... in which case you should of course be sure you won't be changing it again. :) (which is why the first option is surely the better)

A NEST is not the way you want to go IMO, either way, since they tend to want to render and/or drop frames and also adds an extra level of annoying UN-transparency to fiddle with.
