[FCP-L] Re: Murch "back on Avid" for at least one film...

What would happen if Smith Corona, probably dating myself, came out with a new typewriter and moved the "E" key? Why did Sony switch the stop and play buttons on their linear editors, talk about Fing with you. Why didn't avid look at a CMX keyboard before doing whatever the hell they felt like? Why did two different DVEs from Grass Valley switch target and source space functions. Most common answer I've found is different design teams even within the same company. I can always tell when an interface was designed by an engineer as opposed to an operator.
