If you're like me (you should be so lucky) you'll be horrified to see what
120Hz, etc. does to the playback. It takes something that looks like it was
shot on film (which used to be sought after, who decided this was bad?) and
(apparently) introduces new frames to smooth the motion.

It is looks like ass.

However your relatives won't even see it. My Dad set himself up a new flat
screen with the 120Hz feature and doesn't notice that something is
different.
