Ah, I thought they were trying to smooth the "awkward 3:2 pulldown
process" and somehow make 24p look more like 24p, or whatever.

So, 120Hz (Thanks Dennis!) is the next bad thing.

Can I assume you can turn this functionality off -- since I imagine it
will be on all consumer TV sets eventually.

James (who still uses a CRT SDTV in his living room)
