RE: [FCP-L] Log and Transfer Q

Roger - I've never had any success using XDCam and L&T - I always go through the XDCam Transfer software. No problems there.

I'm not really sure that you can import anything other than XDCamEX through Log and Transfer.

From Sony's Web site about the L&T plug-in:

NOTE: XDCAM Transfer has the following advantages over Log and Transfer

Support both XDCAM EX & XDCAM Disc

Handles XDCAM EX and XDCAM Disc clips

mounting SxS & PD media at the same time

MXF export capability

Can write edited material back to Professional Disc in MXF files

Standalone browser/viewer

Browsing/viewing are possible without running Final Cut Pro

Kinda sounds like it doesn't really work that way.
