[FCP-L] Raid Died - Reconstruct Sequences

Haven't been here in a long time. I have just been lurking
occasionally.

Anyhow, I tried to help a friend rebuild some lost projects. The
sequences are cut from several very long clips; entire tapes were
digitized. The clips have moves on them. Redigitizing from the
sequences seems to want to redigitize the entire tape as was done
originally. We tried to "make clip independent" but when it is
offline that is greyed out.

I exported the sequence as an EDL, reimported it and it worked fine
to redigitize. Problem there's hours of sequences and there are
moves in and out done in FCP. The goal is to not have to do that.
The only way is to redig from sequences. Problem seems to be as I
said before, we have to digitize an hour tape for a 20sec clip.

Question is can we apply xml data in some way to only digitize the
20sec needed AND keep the moves intact?

Thanks in advance,
