With my camera, if you bump it down to 1440 x 1080 and a nasty 6mbs, you can get about 5 hours on a 8GB card. Put a 32GB in and he should be fine.

Will the camera need to be triggered by motion to record? Is a SD card big enough to hold a nights worth of Fox hole footage? This really sounds like fun stuff. I seem to remember Adobe's OnLocation has a firewire input and a recording option that can be triggered by motion in the frame. After you discover when the badgers and foxes come out will you be setting up a Red Camera for the real footage? Just kidding ;-)
