According to it's specs, no. Since that feature is called "Night-Shot"
of which there is no mention in it's specs. Merely: Minimum
Illumination, 5 Lux (1/30 Low Light Mode), 1 Lux (Magic Pix® Mode)
which I wouldn't say qualifies as "pitch black"

@Reini: you realize of course that nearly *ANY* DV-Cam will "Night-
Shoot", be it via a built-in or EXTRA IR-light? It a feature (or side-
effect?) of the CHIPS themselves, not the camera. And the built-in IR-
lights, from the few that I've used myself, won't in fact give you
enough light to shoot past roughly an arm's length anyway... something
you'll want to keep in mind depending on what you plan to shoot, i.e.
from what distance, since anything past roughly 10 ft. (if even)
you'll definitely need an extra light for.
