It quasi works. You have to use Print to Video. FCP will go through a
process to create an HDV conforming stream then will ask you to put
the deck in record mode. This is a crash record process.
Just note that the creation of the HDV stream is extremely long and
painful (2-3.5:1 ratio on old Dual Core Mac Pros).
