ProRes works at the standard frame sizes. Including 480 & 486.

I'd start from your client's standard deliverables. If their outputs
are always going to DV, then go with 480. Otherwise, 486.
In this particular case, why scale/crop down to 480? Keep it 486 so it
matches the original frame size.
