of bifocals. One pair with your distance correction and your reading
correction, the other pair with your mid-range correction (for the
distance to your monitors) and your reading correction. The second pair
is sometimes called CRT glasses.
That worked great for many years, until I had both laser surgery 3 years
ago, and eye muscle surgery last summer to correct double vision. Now I
have a single pair of glasses with very minor distance correction. For
some unknown reason that has baffled my optometrist and my
ophthalmologist, I can read fine at distances as close as 12 inches.
Closer than that, and I pull out a lighted magnifier.
