As every movie in Pal land is speeded up from 24 to 25, that's the most easy
thing to do.
Conversion is free and high quality.
However, the pace of the edited piece will change.
I would suggest shooting 23.976, speed up the footage to 25 and edit PAL.
(Well, you don't edit in Pal, you edit in 25 to be correct, but you get the
idea..)
I don't know VariCam, but isn't that one able to shoot 25 as well?
Should be the easiest way (lighting trouble not included)...
