Re: [FCP-L] Compressor wont open

When you say "won't open", do you mean it literally won't START? Or do
you mean it STARTS, only you don't see any windows? (ah, just checked.
It won't start, period. Ah well, I'll post anyway for prosperity)

Cause I've had the exact scenario before also (more than once, I'm
sure) and at least ONE of the times simply selecting any of the preset
window layouts from the Window menu kicked it back to life! Very
bizarre. That is of course if we're talking about the latter situation.

Otherwise I could only recommend the already mentioned "Compressor
Repair" and Prefs route.

Oh, and on a side note: when I was trying to record a tutorial with
Compressor it opened and nothing happened also. Tried everything,
literally for hours, nothing worked... drove me nuts... until: I
changed the resolution from 1024 (that I needed for the capture) to
1200+... only THEN, I kid you not, did a window become visible/pop up
that said "I don't work below a resolution of 1200 yada yada...".

I won't mention HOW lame I thought that was NOR my blood-pressure
readout at that moment.
