While I agree in principle, I find that in actual practice I'm OK with EX and XDCAM-HD. No need to deal with reverse telecine, because the camera is 24p native. Really haven't had much of an issue. When you look at something like AVC-Intra, which is very computationally intensive, it's a real trade-off. The far more interesting and inviting option is to take SDI out of an EX and record to an external KiPro as ProRes.
