I did. It didn't make it possible to view .flv's in QuickTime but it did enable MPEG Stream Clip to do so. There is supposed to be a perian components file in the QuickTime main library but there is nothing. Perian also seems to have an effect on the icons for flv's turning them into a document icon instead of the little brown film clip icon I have come to know flv's by. Even flv's saved to external drives from other computers show as a document icon when that drive is mounted in my computer. It's just weird. I have removed Perian as per the instructions but the icons are still showing as documents. In my searching the web to solve this issue I have come across numerous blurbs regarding Perian and FCP. Anybody have personal experience with this? Can any one tell my what's going on with the icon changing thing?
