Re: [FCP-L] New tech from Silverado - take a guess...

I'll admidt I haven't spent a lot of time checking out the Ultra Scope, but the display customization was limited or non existent on the model I looked at last NAB. Has much changed since then in terms of modifying the various displays? To my knowledge the scope has no error log function which I've used on the leader, albeit a bit too sensitive on the unit I was on. The folks at leader said they might have addressed the error log sensitivity in later versions of the scope software but I never had a chance to check that. As far as day to day operation I'll take a panel with buttons over a software interface any day of the week. I assume you have to go into a GUI to change settings on the UltraScope. How do you switch inputs on the UltraScope or can you? On the leader it's a push of a button. You'd really have to get specific about your hybrid UltraScope being more elegant than the leader or any other dedicated scope unit. Cost obviously is the most elegant feature I see. ;-)
