[FCP-L] Function Keys in Snow Leopard

L-er's,

I must be a total idiot for being unable to figure this out...

In 10.6 and FCP 7 I've turned off all Expose keyboard commands. I've
turned off all but the System keyboard shortcuts in the System Prefs.

And yet I CAN'T do an Overwrite or Lock Video without some stupid OS
command taking over!

What am I missing?
