Re: [FCP-L] Re: OT: Social media at work... ban it or embrace it?

Well...I admit guilt here to being on the internet a bit while
working. Well, actually while I break my concentration and after I
get up to stretch...or during a quick render. As some of you know, I
am on quite a bit of the forums for FCP. I do know how to manage my
time...NOW.

There was a time I was so bad that I did slack at work, and I was not
hired again because of it. And while that is a different sort of
"social networking," it got pretty bad. I have since learned how to
manage my time differently, and I post a lot less than I used to.
Well, except when I have a 1-4 hour render when finishing. But then I
post and then ride my bike or talk with coworkers and bosses.

WHile I am on Facebook, I don't do that much at work. Maybe at lunch
I'll check on my friends and then move on. But I only have like 20
people on there, not 387 or 5345. So it is short.

But yes, I have cut down my internet browsing a lot. And it was
because it was effecting my work...and I didn't see it at the time. I
hope that some people will get the hint without having to be
fired...or if that one firing will be the big hint they need so they
don't do it again.
