Yes, the way I go about doing the same task (and teach it) is exactly
how Tom describes it, which is why I've never actually encountered
that problem, ergo, have never missed that functionality and also why
I wasn't getting what you meant exactly, sorry.
Meaning, if the desired OUT-point is the next edit, I "X" the clip and
reset the IN if needed. At least NOW that's what I'm assuming it is
you're looking for, no? So technically that should at worst be the
amount of clicks you're looking for if not in fact *less* if you work
it right. :)
