[FCP-L] Re: OT: Elgato Turbo 264 HD question

Craig

At least one user with both the Matrox CompressHD and the Elgato Turbo 264 HD reported that he found the Elgato to be the faster of the two devices, but I've not seen a truly objective side by side shoot out between the two devices that clearly delineates the strengths and weaknesses of each device ... something by your good self perhaps, Craig?

To get a full measure of the impact I encoded without Qmaster, 4 instances, 8 instances and finally CompressHD codec. Sans Qmaster took 37:40, 4 instances 31:53, 8 instances 26:58. CompressHD burned through it in 8:40. That's 3 times faster than 8 instances.
