Have you considered using ProRes Proxy instead? It consumes about 30% of the
space of ProRes and 20% of ProRes HQ so, depending on what you are starting
with you would only need 250 to 350 GB of storage.

It makes no sense to work in any other but actual frame size since it can
add problems during the online.

Even so, given the costs of TB hard drives, it is hard to imagine that it
would be worthwhile spending the time to Media Manage a TB worth of video.
Of course, perhaps there are other concerns like the number of real-time
streams that you can handle during the off-line process. If that is the
case, I would really consider the ProRes proxy.
