Re: [FCP-L] Why are Subclips not affiliate clips?

The advantage of making them master clips is that they can be
immediately renamed and relabeled separate from the master clips they
were taken from.

If you edit from subclips there is no real reason to go back to the
original master clip at any point. The new feature is a good function
to have, but in all the years I've used FCP I can't say that I've
needed the function more than a half dozen times.
